Meatloaf – sliced & burgered!

A quick & versatile dish of baked mince which can be served whole as a main course dish, in slices as an appetizer or even in burgers – Try it, U’ll love it!

 

 

PrepTime 5mins – Serves 3-4 – CookTime 25mins

 

 

 

 

Ingredients:
1 lb low fat minced meat (of your choice)
1 cup bread crumbs
1 tsp salt
1 egg
1/4 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp pepper pwd
1 cup onion-garlic flavored tomato paste/ pasta sauce
1/2 cup grated cheese


Cooking Instructions
:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Mix up all the ingredients (except 1/3rd the sauce & all the cheese).
3. Pat the mixture firmly into an 8X& inch baking dish
4. Bake on the medium shelf for 25 mins.
5. Take it out, spoon the rest of the paste onto it, evenly, follwed by an even layer of the cheese.
6. Continue to bake on the top wrack for 5-6 mins.

I usually cut it into slices when its cooled to room temp. and then serve it as a side dish or in buns with cheese, mayo n ketchup – a SUPER BURGER, – that’s what it is!
