Mexican Crunchy Wraps

Made this Mexican snack at home & was amazed by the exciting crunchiness & the amazing bursts of various flavors & textures!!! Had a friend over & made some together – it was FUN!


PrepTime 5mins – Serves 4 – CookTime 15mins



2 cups cooked mince
(Vegetarians, use sauteed mushrooms or any cooker veg of ur choice)
4 Large tortillas
4 (or 8 for extra crunch) corn Tostada shells
8 tsp Mexican chilli (sauce)
8 tsp sour cream
some hot sauce
4 cheese singles (or 8 if u like ‘em cheesy!)
1 cup chopped tomatoes
1 cup chopped fresh lettuce
4 tbsp butter/ olive oil

Cooking Instructions:

Taking 1 tortilla at a time, repeat these steps:
1. Smear 2 tsps chili over the center (a 4-5″ round)
2. Place a cheese single (or 2, if you like) on it.
3. Place a flat tostada shell (2 for extra crunchiness) on it.
4. Spoon on 1/4 of the sour cream
5. Spoon on 1/4 of the minced meat
6. Add 1/4 of the tomatoes
7. Add 1/4 of the lettuce.
8. Spread all the above filling items to cover the tostada.
9. Sprinkle sauces of ur choice (hot sauce, ketchup, etc..)
10. Fold the tortilla over the fillings, starting from 1 point & working around the circumference.
11. Hold it firmly together & turn over onto a heated pan.
12. Sprinkle some butter/ olive oil & brown and harden it as desired on both sides.
