Tortilla Samosas

Got this idea from a friend’s mom – She made some ‘aloo sabzi’ or potatoes & mixed vegs, stuffed them into the samosa shells she made with tortilla halves & then deep-fried them! She didn’t have to knead the dough for the samosa shells, so she saved a lot of time!

 
PrepTime 13mins – Serves 4 – CookTime 2mins.


Ingredients:
1 cup of cooked potatoes (& peas), mixed vegetables or minced meat, chicken or shrimp (cooked/ left-over).
2 whole-wheat tortillas
2 tbsp dry wheat flour
1 tsp corn flour
oil for deep frying
Cooking Instructions:
1. Heat the veggies/minced meat to dry it up completely.
2. Mix the dry flours with little water, to make a paste.
3. Cut the tortillas in half. Take one half & twist to form a cone. Seal the over-lap with the flour paste – hold for a few secs till it fastens well. Repeat to form cones with the rest of the halves.
4. Stuff 1/4 of the veg/meat into each cone & seal the open end with the flour paste, holding again for a few secs to secure/ seal well.
5. Let the samosas sit (or refrigerate until ready to serve).
6. Deep fry in heated oil & set to drain on paper towels.
7. Serve hot with ketchup or any sauce/chutney of your choice.
