Make a “Wacky” Cake (!?!?)

How about a cake made without milk or eggs and is yet, moist, dark and delicious??

This recipe was invented in the great-depression era by some smart cooks who wanted to bake a cake without expensive and scarce ingredients.

You’ll need (for an BxB cake tin)
- 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup white sugar
- 4 tbsp unsweetened cocoa pwd
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp cider vinegar
- 6 tbsp veg. oil
- 1 cup water

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Sift flour, sugar, salt, soda, and cocoa together into an 8×8 inch ungreased cake pan.
3. Make three depressions. Pour oil into one well, vinegar into one & vanilla into the last.
4. Pour water over all, and stir well with fork.
5. Bake for 35 mins or until a tooth pick inserted in the centre comes out clean.

Frost with your favorite icing, cream, fruits, etc…
