Bake a Cake-In-A-Mug

Why bake a whole big cake & stuff it down when you really just have a craving for a LIL’Cake, don’t have company to share it with & just don’t feel like heading out to buy some? Do this.. QUICK!

Hot-Cocoa Chocolate Cake-In-A-Mug


- 9 Tbsp. hot chocolate powder mix
- 4 Tbsp. self raising flour
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsp oil
- 3 tbsp water
- a pinch of salt


- Grease a strong thick large mug (one that othws holds 2 cups of water)
- Add the dry ingds & stir, crack in the egg & stir with a metal whisk, before mixing in the wet indgs.
- With a tbsp, scrape the edges & fold the batter well.
- Bake on medium power for 3 mins – watch as it rises! (Timing may vary dep. on your microwave’s power)
- With an oven-mitt, remove the mug & slide out the cake – leave to cool. Serve as is or with ice-cream. Ta-da!
