French Toast

A breakfast dish of bread soaked in a sweet egg-based batter & shallow-fried.





PrepTime 2mins – CookTime 15mins – Serves 3



Ingredients :

6 1/2″-thick bread slices
1 beaten egg
1 tsp cardamon pwd
1/4 tsp cinnamon pwd
4 tbsp butter
4tsp sugar
1.5 cups milk
1/4 tsp salt


Cooking Instructions:

1. Beat all the ingredients (except the butter & bread) into the beaten egg.

2. Dissolve sugar in warm (not hot) milk & whisk it into the egg.

3. Heat some butter on a frying pan to medium heat.

4. Soak a bread slice in the batter & place on the pan (repeat to fit pan), cook uncovered until gold-brown on each side.

5. Serve with whipped cream, fruits, honey, chocolate or fruit sauces of your choice.
