Sausage breadrolls

Deep fried golden rolls of bread wrapped around a sausage draped in cheese & sauce.




PrepTime 15mins – CookTime 10mins – Serves 4




8 large square thick bread slices
6 1/2″ thick 2-3″ long sausages
1/2 cup ketchup/ any spicy sauce of choice
8 cheese single slices
herbs/ seasoning powders of your choice
1 egg – beaten
2 cups breadcrumbs
oil to deep-fry

Cooking Instructions:

1. Cut off edges from bread slices.

Work with them 1-by-1 from now:

2. Gently immerse the slice quickly in water & squeeze between your palms.

3. Apply 1tsp sauce & sprinkle little herbs/ seasoning powders on it.

4. Place 1 cheese slice on it & then place 1 sausage along an edge of the slice.

5. Gently fold the slice ends near the sausage ends & then roll over folding the slice onto the sausage.

6. Then, lift the arrangement in your palm & with the other hand gently press & seal the roll at the end, ensuring both ends are well-sealed (use wet fingers to seal).

7. Place rolls in fridge to set for 10mins.

8. Dip the rolls in the beaten egg & roll into breadcrumbs.

9 Deep fry in heated oil till golden brown & set to drain on paper towels.

10. Serve with ketchup of sauce of your choice.
